"Sorghum Hill is based in west Tennessee, and the group’s members have a broad musical background with experience not only in bluegrass but also have performed country as well as classical music.  The group performs traditional bluegrass songs, Gospel tunes, original melodies, and arrangements of songs first played in a style other than bluegrass.  Despite these wide-ranging influences, the band still performs bluegrass music in a very traditional style, respectful of the traditions set forth by the music’s pioneers.  The band’s high-energy live performances, tight vocal harmonies, and outstanding musicianship are consistent crowd-pleasers whenever the group has performed." --- Marty Scarborough from ASU's Bluegrass Monday
